Josh Geffin is an Indie/Folk singer/songwriter from London and one that has been described by none other than Sam Lee, as a “a welcome and sensitive breath of fresh folk air”.
Josh does have a newer album, but it’s an instrumental one and I really wanted to feature his endearing vocals.
First and formost Josh is an exquisite guitarist, both acoustic and electric, but his vocals possess an endeering no frills honesty that lend a certain dignity and sincerity to lyrics of heartfelt emotion.
Subtle strings play in the back of the soundscape, while Josh’s vocals and sublime guitar work take centre stage, while the occasional drum moves the tune along. On other tracks it’s just Josh and the guitar.
The last time I felt this taken by a British Male Folk/Acoustic artist was when I first heard MG Boulter, can’t wait to receive the album! and I do hope he doesn’t stick to making instrumental albums.
