Mari Joyce is an Indie/Folk singer/songwriter based in Norwich in the UK.
I have been looking forward to this long player since discovering Mari’s excellent EP “The Tent” a few months ago and I’m pleased to say it has more than met expectations.
Beautifully airy with delicately picked guitar, gorgeous cello and violin from Alex Hobbs and Alex Patterson respectively, Iestyn Griffith: on percussion and Johanna Herron perfectly atuned to Mari’s pure tones with accompanying vocals.
Deep meaningful songwriting is the order of the day, it’s not an album for the casual listener, you need to sit and soak up it’s poetic beauty and reflective thoughts on nature and familial relations.
