James Elkington “Winters Woma

Release date: 30 June 2017

Label: Paradise of Bachelors

Website: N.A

James Elkington is an English born, Chicago based Contemporary Folk singer/songwriter and “Wintre’s Woma” is his debut full length recording.

Elkington himself isn’t particularly happy pigeonholing himself as a Folk singer, but when you listen to this album, there are undoubted influences from such 70’s greats as Nick Drake, Richard Thompson and Michael Chapman and that can’t be a bad thing.

Intricate nimbly picked acoustic guitar shot through with strings accompany James’s rich baritone regailing poetic lyrics that wouldn’t shame the aforemention legends of Folk music.
